In celebration of Becky’s 91 years of life, love, and giving to others, Becky was reunited with her husband Bob, parents Mark and Rita Victor, sister Vicky, and all of those whom she loved and missed on Friday, July 21, 2017. The Westerfeld family, and her sisters Rose and Sarah, would like you to join them for services to be held on Monday, July 24, 12 Noon, for a grave side service at Shalom Memorial Park. The service will be followed by a luncheon of joy afterwards at Giacomo’s Italian Restaurant. Per Becky’s request, there will be no Shiva. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a tree be planted in Israel as a symbol of honor to her life. During all life-cycle events, but in particular when someone has experienced a loss during a shiva and throughout the mourning process, planting a tree is a very common and appropriate way to show your support. In the Jewish faith, there are many ways to celebrate, honor and commemorate the life of loved ones to help carry on traditions, customs and rituals. In Judaism, it is important to perpetuate the life and legacy of friends, family and ancestors no longer here for future generations.
